Gaussian and Gaussian View are now available for members of Department of Chemistry from Chem Stores.  It is on a USB stick, and has both MAC and Windows versions.

It is with great pleasure that the Department of Chemistry announces and congratulates our four outstanding first-year chemistry lab TAs for their exceptional performance throughout the Fall 2023 academic semester. Baylie Kalnitsky, Brendan Carson, Morgan Phillips and Luke Kameka have gone above and beyond in their roles, demonstrating a strong commitment to supporting student learning and academic success.

Omar Swidan presented a seminar entitled "Functionalization of Graphene Oxide Derivatives for Enhanced Electrochemical Supercapacitor Performance" for his M.Sc. Degree on Friday , December 7th, 2023. 

Julia Newman presented a seminar entitled “Enhancement of Single-Molecule Magnet Behaviour via Molecular Modification.” for her M.Sc. Degree on Monday, November 13th, 2023. 

Iqra Tahir presented a seminar entitled “Synthesis of the [dC]N4 – Butylene – N4[dC] Interstrand Cross-Link for Applications in Non-Enzymatic Genome Replication.” for her M.Sc. Degree on Tuesday, November 14th, 2023. 

Luke Kameka presented a seminar entitled "“Synthesis of m-Xylylenediamines for Carbon Capture" for his M.Sc. Degree on Thursday, November 9th, 2023.

Krish Kiran Valluru successfully defended his M.Sc. thesis, “The Template-Directed EDC-Mediated Ligation of Oligonucleotides Using a Diamino Nucleoside ” on Thursday November 2nd, 2023. Congratulations!

Kayla Synder successfully defended her PhD thesis, "Understanding Molecular Perturbations Induced by Adsorption on Self-Assembled Monolayers" on Monday October 30th, 2023. Congratulations!
