Topic: Characterization of the biosynthesis of Klebsiella pneumoniae O-antigen polysaccharides and the origin of the ribofuranose in bacterial polysaccharides

The topic that will be covered is scholarship applications. More specifically, we will chat about the following: 

Dr. Jonathan Griffiths, a molecular plant virologist and research scientist at the London Research and Development Centre, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, will be visiting the Meng laboratory to discuss collaborations in research on Sept 9, Friday, this week.  As part of his visitation, Dr. Griffiths will be giving a research seminar entitled "Metagenomics based monitoring of plant viruses in Canadian agricultural fruit production systems".

Topic: Replication Fork Pausing and Epigenetic conversions, novel assays, and new links with chromatin assembly factors CAF1 and Asf1p

Topic: The role of the store-operated calcium entry in transcription factor activation and accelerated differentiation of induced pluripotent stem cell-neural progenitor cells derived from bipolar disorder patients

Topic: Characterization of the physiological role of the adaptor protein ShcD in the adult mammalian central nervous system and testes

Topic: Identifying Dlx regulated genes in the chick craniofacial primordia

This is open to all summer students (USRA, URA, co-op, etc) - it is an informal opportunity for these students to interact with faculty, staff, graduate students and other undergraduates, and to share their summer research experiences.  There will be two poster sessions followed by a prize draw and pizza lunch for participants.
