Dr. Donald R. Phillips Scholarship Seminars

These two awards were established in memory of Dr. Donald Robert Phillips, OAC'66, a genetics researcher, and are awarded to graduate students in MCB on the basis of their contributions to research, as evidenced by their published papers, conference presentations, and achievement at the graduate level. In honour of the occasion, the 2022 recipients will present departmental seminars on their work:

Graduate Seminar - Marijke Murray

Topic: “Investigating the role of hydrophobic and positively charged residues in the cryoprotection of Yfh1 by VrDHN1”

Graduate Seminar - Margaret Smith

Topic: Exploring the impact of positive charge distribution on the ability of dehydrins to interact with proteins in vivo

Rising Stars in Neuroscience Symposium

Aly Walczyk-Mooradally, a PhD candidate from MCB, will be presenting at the Rising Stars in Neuroscience Symposium hosted by the University of Utah Neurobiology Department, at 11:25 am Monday, May 16th.
