The inaugural fall 2026 issue of Beyond the Protocol focuses on consent, exploring what meaningful consent looks like in research and sharing practical guidance, articles and new resources to help researchers develop effective consent materials. It also provides EthOS tips and resources, important fall dates, reminders about when REB review is required, and information about the supports available through the Research Ethics Office. Rounding out the issue are lighter features, including a staff spotlight on Robert Holley and the Protocol Pursuits research ethics word search!
