These centres play a vital role in strengthening our research community, attracting top-tier talent, fostering multidisciplinary collaboration and driving impactful partnerships. By generating high-quality research, they contribute to the university's global reputation as a leader in research and innovation, while providing unique opportunities for students to engage in transformative work across fields.

Advanced Analysis Centre
The Advanced Analysis Centre (AAC) is a Core Research Facility (CRF) at U of G that provides centralized access to state-of-the-art laboratories and instrumentation in the Summerlee Science Complex. Established to support interdisciplinary research, the AAC houses more than $40 million in advanced analytical equipment, including facilities for nuclear magnetic resonance, mass spectrometry, microscopy, genomics, and plant growth. The centre supports researchers across campus and beyond, advancing discovery and training at the intersection of the physical and biological sciences.

Research Data Centre
The University of Guelph Research Data Centre (RDC), opened in 2011, is part of the Canadian Research Data Centre Network (CRDCN). It provides secure access to detailed Statistics Canada microdata – including survey, census, and administrative data – for approved researchers with security clearance. Researchers use RDC data to explore a wide range of topics, from child development to eldercare, educational outcomes to immigration, and health policy to family life.

Central Animal Facility
The Central Animal Facility (CAF) at the University of Guelph provides centralized housing and technical support for research animals in a controlled environment. Opened in 1973, it serves departments across the university with flexible holding rooms and skilled personnel. Access requires orientation and completion of core training modules. The facility is committed to maintaining high standards of animal care and welfare, adhering to national guidelines and ethical research practices.

Share Hierarchical Academic Research Computing Network (SHARCNET)
