University of Guelph Researchers Respond to COVID-19

When the COVID-19 pandemic was declared, the University of Guelph was quick to find ways to harness our innovations and research expertise to combat the SARS-CoV-2 virus and lessen the global impact.

U of G researchers have repurposed innovations, conducted cutting-edge research and provided their expertise to provincial, national and global pandemic efforts.

Numerous projects have received federal and provincial funding support and, recognizing the importance of expediting the transfer of innovation and knowledge at the beginning of the pandemic, the University launched two funds: COVID-19 Research Development and Catalyst Fund and Creating in a Time of Coronvirus.

We have captured many of the ways University of Guelph researchers have tracked, mitigated, responded to and created through the pandemic, below.
