If you are working on any projects/proposals that are part of funding from Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) or Agriculture Adaptation Council (AAC) please contact Angela Vuk in Research Support Services (RSS.)
Research Services Office (RSO) highly recommends you communicate and coordinate with RSS as early as possible in your proposal preparation as:
1. There are a number of program management requirements, contractual, and financial issues associated with these programs that need to be addressed in the proposal stage.
2. Early coordination and communication regarding your project will significantly reduce the agreement processing time when the funds are awarded.
We also recommend that you make a request to the Primary Applicant (in the case where it is not the University i.e. Commodity Groups/Producer Associations) contact RSS early on in the proposal phase as well.
Project coordination early in the process with these partners will ensure efficient review and processing of the resulting agreement(s).
University policy requires that an OR-5 form is submitted for review and signature prior to the submission of the proposal to an external party whether the University is the primary applicant or not - this allows for several types of administrative oversight which protects the university and the individual faculty members
Primary point of contact in RSS for AAFC /AAC programs is Angela Vuk, Contracts Manager, x53429
