The Centre for Biodiversity Genomics conducts field trips to museums to harvest DNA from identified species to help build the DNA barcode library. This is the typical set up to conduct harvesting of identified species from museum collections. A computer to enter species and archive location information, an array box to place all the specimens into, and a checklist indicating what species we are looking for to add to the DNA barcode library. This is a box of Coleoptera specimens from the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington, DC, USA.
