Posing for the last shot

As part of my postdoc at the University of Guelph, I am studying the pollinator communities of blueberry crops and how the availability of natural habitat in the landscape affects them. As blueberries bloom relatively early in the season, they are visited by queens of different bumblebee species. I captured for identification this queen of Bombus impatiens when visiting one of the study crops. The picture was taken just before she flew away from my field notebook.
