Research Summary: To assist in the troubleshooting of common milk quality issues in the dairy goat industry, this study aims to establish benchmark values for milk quality, identify pathogens most frequently associated with mastitis, and investigate the association with Johne's disease and caprine arthritis encephalitis (CAE) virus. These results will help identify best management practices for ensuring high milk quality; therefore improving the sector's sustainability and competitiveness.
