Research Priority: Sustainable Production Systems

Program Type: Tier 1

Funding Cycle: 2021/2022

Research Summary: Best management practices (BMPs) are critical to achieving practical and affordable approaches to conserving soil and water resources on the farm without sacrificing productivity, but adoption of these BMPs may limit their implementation in the agri-food sector. This project aims to identify and understand the primary drivers behind farmers' decision-making surrounding the adoption of BMPs. Project results may help enhance BMP adoption, subsequently leading to more sustainable and resilient agricultural production systems.
