MCB Supports Adopt-A-Family This Holiday Season
It's hard to believe that we're into November and that soon, the Holiday Season will be upon us. For the 17th consecutive year, we are pleased to be able to provide support to families in need, through the Children's Foundation of Guelph and Wellington Adopt-A-Family Program.
This year, we have 2 families. The first has a single Mom with 4 children (7-month-, 7-year- and 16-year-old girls, and a 5-year-old boy). The second has 2 parents with 3 boys (9, 12 and 13 years of age).
Our target for both families (together) is $1,775. We are off to a great start with $180 raised in the Pumpkin Carving Contest! While we're limited to the types of fundraising events we can hold (no pizza lunches, bake sales, chili cook-off), we are, once again, relying on your generosity to meet our goal.
Monetary donations will be accepted via interact e-transfer, or in-person by any member of the MCB Fundraising Committee up to and including Friday, November 26. Please contact lhatefi@uoguelph.ca for more information.
Each donor will receive email confirmation that their gift has been received. As always, donors will be issued income tax receipts for gifts of $20 or greater. Money raised will be used to ensure that each family receives grocery gift cards, and that children receive gift cards for clothing and something from their wish list.
