Why I Chose Guelph...

“I wanted a school that was able to balance quality education and quality of life. The city and the university provide a safe place to strike that balance. Moreover, the Marketing and Consumer Studies program is unique; the theoretical approach to consumer-oriented marketing attracted me to the school, and I appreciated the interdisciplinary focus of the program. I am encouraged to work with colleagues with strong backgrounds in psychology, economics, statistics, and business administration. In turn I'm a well-rounded researcher. ”

About My Program...
“My program has helped me develop the balance of coursework, personal research, teaching assistantships, and research assistantships in a swift manner. This has helped me achieve a strong balance among my academic obligations. ”

About My Advisor...
“The academic relationship with my advisor relies a lot on trust, honour, and respect for one another. Having achieved this, I am able to respond well to my advisor when he has concerns, and conversely he is able to understand my research process and point of reference when discussing topics related to my interests or approaches. ”

About the City...
“The City of Guelph may seem small, but it has a lot of spirit! The amenities are fantastic. The people who study or permanently in Guelph here have a great positive inclusionary disposition which makes it much easy to transition into graduate studies. ”

About Student Services...
“The library services have been nothing less than fantastic. Working directly with specialists in writing, I was able to learn how to paraphrase without plagiarizing, how to manage my time properly, and overall how to work effectively given the resources and time I have in my Master's.”
