Graduate Student House Calls Program

On behalf of Student Wellness:

Student Wellness Services is once again offering our Graduate Student House Calls program this semester.

We recognize that in light of COVID-19, your experience as a graduate student is not what you expected it to be. For some, completing studies in mostly online environments can feel isolating and overwhelming. Add to that, the challenges most of us face navigating the other aspects of our lives during these unprecedented times.

The Graduate Student House Calls program was created to provide support for graduate students at the University of Guelph through informal calls with a staff member in Student Wellness Services. For those who may not be familiar, Student Wellness Services consists of Accessibility Services, Counselling Services, Health Services, Wellness Education & Promotion Centre, Health & Performance Centre, Student Support Network, and Sexual Violence Support & Education. For more information about Student Wellness please feel free to visit our website:

During the House Calls, Student Wellness staff will be connecting with students, answering questions, and discussing the supports available for graduate students. We are keen to chat!

Students interested in participating in the program will be contacted via Microsoft Teams from October to November.

Students who receive a call will be entered into a draw to win 1 of 10 $50 gift cards to Starbucks, Amazon, or your local grocery store! You can opt-in to receive a call at any time before the end of November.

To opt-in to the program, please complete the form here:

If you are not interested in participating in the House Calls program but would like to access support, please contact one of our Navigators who provide service to students with questions or concerns about their mental health. The Navigators are available Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30, 519 824-4120 Extension 52131.
