Details

Earlier this year, discussions were raised by the Dean’s Council regarding the issue of accreditation. The Council decided to explore the possibility of CME becoming an accredited school. A CME-wide steering committee was formed with a mandate of submitting a report to the Dean’s Council by December 2011 on what accreditation of our College would mean for our faculty, our staff, our students (both undergraduate and graduate), and the broader CME community. As part of the consultation process with faculty, staff and students we are holding a college wide townhall meeting on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 from 3:30 - 5:00pm in MacKinnon Room 120. Your input is greatly valued on this significant matter for the future of the college. Should the townhall meeting conflict with your schedule please do not hesitate to forward your comments/questions regarding accreditation to Sylvain Charlebois, Diane Dobbins, or your unit representative. For your reference members of the the Steering Committee include: Diane Dobbins, Manager, Research and Partnerships Ken Smith, Associate Dean, Executive Programs Joe Barth, School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) Sean Lyons, Department of Business (DoB) Jane Londerville, Department of Marketing and Consumer Studies (MCS) Francis Tapon, Department of Economics and Finance (DEF) Anne Wilcock, former MCS professor and expert in quality assurance programs
