Details

3MT® is a university wide competition for graduate students in which participants present their research and its wider impact in 3 minutes or less to a panel of non-specialist judges. The challenge is to present complex research in an engaging, accessible and compelling way, using only one slide.

On February 28, 2018, the College of Business and Economics will host the college level heat in order to decide upon two finalists who will advance to the University level 3MT Final Competition scheduled for March 27, 2018. The public is invited to cheer on their peers in both the college heat and the final competition.

The 3 top presenters from the College of Business and Economics will be awarded the following prizes;

  • 1st place: $500
  • 2nd place: $250
  • 3rd place: $150

Registrations will be accepted by each college.

In 2017, U of G graduate student Shanthanu Krishnakumar won the top prize and $2,000 at the national 3MT competition.
