Matt completed his BSc in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo in 2013, and then his MSc focusing in Neuroscience in 2016. In the spring of 2013, he was drafted into the CFL, where he played professional football for five years. Since retiring from professional sport, he has been working for McMaster University for 3.5 years and has been with the DeGroote MBA program for Recruitment since November 2019. Additionally, Matt has been the Offensive Line Coach for the McMaster Varsity Football Program since 2018.
