Jessica Nicholson is a Ph.D. candidate in Management/Organizational Leadership in the College of Business and Economics at the University of Guelph.  Holding an Honors BA in Psychology from the UNC Chapel Hill and an MBA from McMaster University, she has developed and taught courses in Business Ethics, Leadership, Management Development, Organizational Behaviour, and Human Resource Management at the undergraduate and graduate level and has consulted to organizations in the area of executive development. Her research explores the intersection of positive psychology, ethics, and work; specifically, the roles of ethics (care and virtue ethics) and relational leadership in contributing to individual well-being, care in organizations, and sustainability.  Additional interests include behavioral ethics, positive organizational scholarship, and ethics in management curricula.  Jessica has published in the Journal of Business Ethics and presented her work at a number of international academic conferences, including annual meetings of the International Association for Business and Society, the Society for Business Ethics, the International Association of Applied Psychology and the OBTS Teaching Society for Management Educators; as well as at the 7th Developing Leadership Capacity Conference, the 4th World Congress on Positive Psychology, and the 2nd Canadian Conference on Positive Psychology.  Her thesis research explores the meaning and practice of care in organizations.
