Life in the Cold Lane: Study Sheds New Light on Beetle Biodiversity in the Sub-Arctic
The Canadian Arctic is undergoing dramatic environmental change, and researchers from UofG are at the forefront of an effort to map this world before it warms up. Samantha Majoros, a master’s student working with Dr. Sarah Adamowicz in the Department of Integrative Biology, is on a mission to find out more about one such group: beetles.
Dr. Jackie Goordial Named as CIFAR Azrieli Global Scholars
Two University of Guelph professors are among 14 international researchers to be appointed as CIFAR (Canadian Institute for Applied Research) Azrieli Global Scholars for 2021-23. Dr. Jackie Goordial, an environmental microbiologist in the School of Environmental Sciences and a BINF Faculty member, was one of the professors chosen for the prestigious program.
