Backup and Recovery Service

This service is a component of the CCS Data Protection Service. Active data is copied to an alternate location for restoration in case of loss or corruption of the original.

Calendar (via Office 365)

Calendaring is provided as part of Office 365. Office 365 is offered to all staff, faculty and students at the University of Guelph (including all affiliate campuses) and the University of Guelph-Humber.

Database Hosting

The Database Hosting Service provides University departments and business units with database hosting and administration for Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server upon request. These services are provided in a shared server environment.

Digital Accessibility Resource Centre (DARC)

The Digital Accessibility Resource Centre provides training, tools, and support for the creation of accessible digital content, including:

  • web content
  • PDFs/Word documents
  • presentation slides/PowerPoint decks
  • video
  • audio
  • other multimedia 

Email/Gryph Mail (via Outlook/Office 365)

Email is provided as part of the Office 365 suite of services.  Office 365 is offered to all Staff, Faculty, Undergraduate and Graduate Students at the University of Guelph (including all affiliate campuses) and the University of Guelph-Humber.


Full disk encryption to secure personal computers, laptops or portable storage devices which store sensitive data.

Gartner Research Portal

CCS has recently activated campus access for all faculty, staff and students to Gartner research services currently in place for the University of Guelph community. Each member of the University has direct access to the Gartner research portal. 

Gryph Forms

Gryph Forms (U of G's implementation of Process Director) will be a campus-wide solution for automating workflow processes, which includes digital approvals, document routing, and electronic forms (eForms).  

ImageNow / Perceptive Content

Departments that store and process paper documents may opt to scan documents into a digital format and use ImageNow to store and retrieve them.

Issue Tracking Software (FootPrints)

FootPrints is an online system that allows you to track and manage customer support issues.  FootPrints can be used for tracking issues, service requests, or work orders. It is useful for maintaining a help desk or call centre.
