The group presented their poster Enhancing Education for the Visually Impaired Using Sonifcation and Gesture Control Devices this past Wednesday. The work, led by Dr. Denis Nikitenko and Dr. Daniel Gillis, seeks to explore the utility of using sound paired with gesture control devices (such as the Leap Motion device and the Myo Armband) to enhance mathematical and statistical education for students who are visually impaired.
