Third Floor of Reynolds Building

The University of Guelph is creating a new home for the School of Computer Science as large-scale renovations to the Reynolds building are almost halfway complete. The School of Computer Science is undergoing extensive renovations to create new research and collaborative spaces for our students and to transform the building into an exciting hub for collaboration, instruction and research. The renovated building is set to feature state-of-the-art academic space, including a new student computer lab, open concept work pods for graduate students, staff and faculty offices and brand new student work and research space.

In 2016, the University of Guelph received more than $30 million from the federal and provincial governments to enhance research and innovation facilities. This funding allowed the University to undertake one of its largest-ever infrastructure improvement projects that included five other initiatives across campus. This project will help fulfill the University’s ambition of enhancing the School of Computer Science, reflect the changing needs of our growing department and create inviting spaces that will bring students, faculty and staff together. Renovations are set to be complete in April 2018.
