On Wednesday, January 10th, nearly 300 computing students braved the icy weather in order to attend the 7th annual Guelph Tech Showcase. Hosted as a partnership between the School of Computer Science and the Bachelor of Computing Coop, the showcase allowed students to meet and network with potential employers from around the area.

The focus of the event was to connect tech employers with students entering the tech field. 27 employers attended the event, all recruiting for different types of roles within the technology field. While most of the employers had attended the event previously, we had 8 new employers in attendance, including Focus 21, Rave, Arctic Wolf and Talk IQ.

Of the 70 company representatives that attended the event, 14 of them were Guelph Alumni, with some even being Bachelor of Computing graduates themselves.

The School of Computer Science and the Bachelor of Computing Coop would like to extend their thanks to all the students who came out this year, and who helped to make our tech showcase a success as the most attended event of the semester.  We are already looking forward to the Guelph Tech Showcase next year.
