CISters is a community of female computer scientists and software engineers in the School of Computer Science at the University of Guelph. In a male dominated field, our goal is provide a place for women to gather together to chat, eat, and be themselves.
"Becoming involved in the CISter's community has been a highlight for me; it offers the chance to meet other female computing students with similar interests and helps us gain insight into the impact of women in computing. Attending conferences and learning about student projects add to the networking opportunities of their great program." - Sarah Shepard, Software Engineering
