Statement from AVP - Anti-Asian Racism

Dear U of G community, 

The University of Guelph is deeply committed to providing a safe, accepting, inclusive and equitable environment for every member of our community. The rise of anti-Asian racism following the COVID-19 pandemic, is unsettling and wrong. I want you to know that the University is committed to taking swift and deliberate actions to identify and address all forms of hatred and discrimination in our community. The University of Guelph expresses strong support for students, faculty, and staff of Asian descent. Through our policies and our Anti-Racism Action Plan, we will continue to take steps to build a solid foundation of success for everyone at the U of G.
