Summary:

I graduated with a BSc from the University of Guelph in the spring of 2021, where I majored in Biological Science and minored in Ecology. After graduating, I worked for the next year in the MacDougall Lab as a field tech and research assistant, where I studied the distribution and abundance of insectivorous bats on farmlands in Southern Ontario. As an undergrad, I was particularly captivated by the use of computer software and programming to model complex phenomena like population dynamics and habitat selection. For my MSc work, I'm interested in quantifying the ecosystem services that bats provide to farmland, and further investigating their habitat preferences in agriculturally dominated landscapes.
