Join the Guelph Business Conference Committee on Tuesday, September 19th at 5:30pm in MacDonald Hall Room 232 for Networking 101, an interactive workshop that covers everything from dressing properly to making a new connection last! Learn how to make a great first impression and see real life examples of how to dress for success at different business events.

Learn how to develop a professional business resume and cover letter – gain insight into industry best practices and what employers look for in a resume, including strategies on how to make your documents unique! This workshop is open to students in all majors and is part of the Career Development Program! Discover resources, tools and tactics that students can use when conducting a job search such as labour market research and information interviews. Understand the student recruitment process, including specific approaches in certain industry sectors. This workshop is open to students in all business majors and is part of the Career Development Program. Registration deadline: WSET Level 1 Award in Spirits

The Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 1 Award in Spirits will introduce you to the basic principles of spirit production and the main types and styles of spirits available.  You will also learn how to serve spirits and understand the basic principles of marketing used for the sale of spirits and the issues relating to the safe consumption of spirits. This offering of the WSET Level 1 Award in Spirits will take place Sunday, October 15.

The Accounting Society of Guelph (ASG) is hosting their annual networking night. This is a great opportunity for accounting students of all years to network with recruiters within the industry and make meaningful connections for the future. Networking plays a very important role in today’s recruitment process and attending this event will give you the chance to brush up on some soft skills while also interacting with other accounting students. Dress code is business casual. Food and drinks will be provided.
