Research and Ethics presentation

The College of Management and Economics is pleased to host a lunchtime presentation and discussion on "Research and Ethics". Invited guest speaker: Sandra Auld, Director, Research Ethics, Office of Research, University of Guelph. Sandy's presentation will provide an overview of the newly released second edition of the Tri-Council guidelines for ethical research involving humans (TCPS2) and U of G's ethics approval process, followed by an open group discussion and question period. BioTalent Headlines 2nd Partners in Research Series Colette Rivet, Executive Director, BioTalent Canada will be the keynote speaker at the 2nd Partners in Research series on February 8th. BioTalent Canada is a non-profit, industry-led national organization focused on assisting companies in the Canadian bio-economy, with their human resource and skills development issues. Public Lecture - How Do Marketing and History Relate?

Prof. Brad Hudson, Visiting Fulbright Scholar from Boston University will be speaking about his research on brand heritage:  "How do marketing and history relate?" Brad is interested in the consumer appeal of older companies and suggests this may be enhanced by the historical characters of their brands.  He will share findings from his prior research about the cruise line Cunard, and also discuss his current research about the Canadian château hotels operated by Fairmont. Professor Hudson is with us during Winter 2011 while on sabbatical from Boston University.
