Join us for a fun beer tasting afternoon! This seminar will cover everything from the difference between ales and lagers, micro vs. macro, core and extra ingredients, the brewing process and its history, and how to snuff out a bad beer. We will cover the different beer styles, how and why they came about, and of course taste a couple examples. Everything you need to hold your own in a craft beer bar. Registration deadline is October 6th. Open to the public and offered by the School of Hospitality, Food & Tourism Management.

Wine, spirits and beer education

The University of Guelph’s School of Hospitality, Food and Tourism Management (HFTM) offers a wide range of education in wine, spirits and beer. Wine and spirits certifications are done through the world class Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET). Beer seminars are taught in three parts by a certified beer expert.
