Biology Education Research (BER) Resource Page

Biology education research, in the form that we recognize it now, emerged in the 1980s and has become increasingly commonplace since.  The infrastructure for publication is still somewhat scattered: there is no central journal with a strong focus on all aspects of its disciplinary education research, like there is in chemistry, physics, and engineering.  In the United States, the Society for the Advancement of Biology Education Research has given BER a unified voice, one that is heard at their annual meetings.

The number of BER publications per year is growing, and its prominence among other disciplinary education research is increasing.
