Priority-Driven Programs Support World-Class Research and Training
The Ontario Agri-Food Innovation Alliance is committed to delivering Ontario agri-food solutions with global impact. Through the Alliance, the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) and the University of Guelph work together to advance research and innovation that contributes to the success of the province's agri-food sector and promotes rural economic development.
Research priorities
OMAFRA undertook a new approach to research priority setting in 2019. There are now 11 research priorities that are aligned with the Ministry's three core businesses: Protection and Assurance, Stewardship, and Economic Development.
