Registering for Courses for your Return Semester

While you are away on a semester abroad you will need to register for courses for the semester you return to Guelph.  There are two ways of doing this:

a) Register on WebAdvisor during the Course Add Period  (check the Undergraduate Calendar for deadlines). There are certain computer requirements to access WebAdvisor. In an international context, you may not be able to access WebAdvisor (especially in an Internet café). Therefore, we suggest having Plan B (see below) for registering for courses.

b) Complete an Undergraduate Course Request form,, sign it and leave it with a reliable friend who will take it to Enrolment Services during the course add period. WebAdvisor will not let you register for a course if the course is full, requires instructors consent to add, or has a course restriction (such as needing to be in a certain program).

BEFORE you leave for your semester abroad, check all of this information. If necessary, complete a Course Waiver Request form and ask the course instructor to sign it for you. Complete the Undergraduate Course Request form as well and sign both forms. Leave the forms with a reliable friend who will take the forms to Enrolment Services during the add period.
