Deadline Extension- Provincial Programs

Exchange:

OBW, ORA, OIN, OJS Exchange Application ***NEW***Deadlines: January 26, 2018

Students applying for the ORA, OBW, OIN, or OJS exchanges must submit the provincial paper application to the Centre for International Programs by Friday, January 26 at 4:30 pm AND submit University of Guelph's online study abroad application by January 26th, 2018 at 11:59 pm.  The paper applications require academic reference letters, so if you have not asked your professors for these yet, you should do this as soon as possible.

**OBW (Germany) exchange program applicants: are encouraged to have taken at least a first-year level German course before participating in the OBW exchange, but students without any German will also be considered.  While on the exchange, students will be required to take at least one German language course, and may also take courses in English (the number of courses taught in English and their subjects varies at the participating German universities).

***ORA (France) exchange program applicants: must have at least an intermediate level of French (usually considered to be equivalent to having taken second year level French courses at University of Guelph). A language assessment form must be signed by the U of G French Department as part of the application.

Summer Research Programs:

OIN and OJS Summer Research Application Deadlines: January 26, 2018

Students in any program can apply and students DO NOT have to speak an additional language to participate in the programs - participants will work with a host professor who speaks English. Students must be nominated by a University of Guelph professor for this program.  

OJS Summer Research Applicants: don't have to find a supervising professor at the participating Jiangsu universities - the Ontario OJS Director will find a supervising professor for you. However, students are also welcome to research and contact potential supervisors on their own.

OIN Summer Research (called Short-Term Study Program) Applicants: Students should identify professors at the host institution, or institutions in India, with whom to work and then contact the OIN Program Director who will help to finalize a placement. Summer Language and Culture Programs – no change
