Find out more about the University of Guelph's Study Abroad Programs

Every year the Centre for International Programs hosts the Study Abroad Fair to showcase the University of Guelph's study abroad programs, which include summer Field School programs and over 100 exchange opportunities. You will also have the chance to hear from students who have been on Guelph's study abroad programs.

This year we will be hosting the Study Abroad Fair VIRTUALLY and things will look a little differently! The fair will be hosted on Microsoft Teams, where you can engage with the presentations through the chat function to ask questions or add comments, attend the events to learn more about the study abroad opportunities at UofG, and hear about past participants' travel experiences!

Throughout the week there will be multiple information sessions throughout the day, covering a vast amount of topics such as financing your study abroad, travelling for the first time, support, what other students experienced, information from program and career counsellors, general information and much more! Do you have questions regarding study abroad? We also offer general drop-in sessions to answer your questions and help you along this exciting journey! Check out the schedule below for a layout of the events throughout the week. We hope to see you there!

Explore Sessions (Thursdays, 2:30pm-3:30pm)

With current restrictions on travel, we can not physically go to these regions. However, we can still explore them virtually!

This year we have offered region-specific drop-in sessions, on Microsoft Teams Live, to give students the chance to learn more about the countries that interest them. During these sessions, we showcased information about the various cultures, languages, program requirements, credit systems, scholarships, and featured past study abroad participants to share their experiences.

If you couldn’t attend the live event, don’t worry! All of the sessions were recorded and have been posted to our website for your reference. Along with the recorded sessions, for each region, there are also resources available to help you virtually explore. You can learn more about these countries through movies, documentaries, books, art and culture, and food recipes.

Find out more about the Explore Sessions here.
