Six University of Guelph (U of G) students in the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences (CEPS) will receive $17,500 scholarships from the Vector Scholarships in Artificial Intelligence, to support their pursuit of a master’s degrees at U of G in Fall 2023.

Researchers from the University of Guelph, including Dr. Aicheng Chen, from the Chemistry Department, and Dr. Abdallah Elsayed, from the School of Engineering, have developed an innovative solution to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) levels and combat climate change.
This past Thursday, the University of Guelph welcomed over 750 students and teachers from 26 different high schools across Ontario for our annual Battle STEM competition. Formerly known as the Science Olympics, Battle STEM gave Junior and Senior students the opportunity to participate in over 18 different STEM based events, workshops, and activities. Battle STEM is one of our largest outreach programs designed to engage youth in science and showcase the University of Guelph’s expertise and resources in STEM.
Student Experience Awards honour the achievements and contributions of campus leaders who have made a lasting difference in students’ lives and in campus-community relations. Each year, the University community is invited to submit nominations for staff, faculty and students who exemplify commitment and contribution to U of G and the greater community. This year’s Student Experience Awards were celebrated at an in-person event, the first since 2019.
