This year the CBESA has partnered with the Guelph Mens Hockey Team and have come together in hosting the first ever Movember hockey game! Students are invited to join in on a night of fun for a fantastic cause while showing their support for their Mens Hockey Team! The CBESA will be collecting donations for Movember, selling #MOVEMBER t-shirts, and raising awareness for mens heath.

The Visiting Speaker Series is an opportunity for invited researchers and professionals, external to the University of Guelph, to present their research topic(s) to faculty and students. On September 16, the Department of Economics and Finance will welcome Stéphane Mechoulan from Dalhousie University. Anyone from the University of Guelph is welcome to attend.

One of the best, most transferable skills across business is the ability to use Excel to analyze and understand large sets of data. The EFA is excited to offer an Excel Workshop, taught by final year co-op students, to teach you more advanced Excel functions that are used regularly in the workplace. At the end of this interactive hour and a half session, you should be able to execute more advanced functions, pivot tables and vlookups, which will prepare you well for the requests from most employers.

At Brown Bag Seminars, faculty and graduate students engage in knowledge sharing in a collegial environment where they explore a broad range of research topics and working papers.    Bring your lunch – we’ll bring the beverages!   We look forward to seeing you there!
