MCB Health and Safety
In MCB, we are committed to providing a safe work environment for everyone. As new research personnel join the department, they must register into four online training modules which are part of the department's mandatory training requirements. Please see the MCB Safety Training Page for further information on how to register and submit the required documentation.
The MCB Health and Safety Committee (LJHSC) plays an active role in ensuring that all research and teaching labs, including support rooms and offices, are inspected regularly, in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
A CBS Safety binder, replete with safety handbook, policies and procedures is made available to each lab. Labs also store their inspection reports and training records in this binder.
If you have any questions or concerns about Health and Safety in MCB, please check with your supervisor or email the Health and Safety Committee Chair, Dr. Ian Tetlow (email@example.com) directly.
