A Call for Nominations is issued annually for each of the University awards and honours under the purview of Senate, as follows:
Spring/Summer
Call for Nominations - Honorary Degrees 2026
Note: Nominations for Honorary Degrees are accepted year-round. Normally, to be considered for presentation at convocation ceremonies in June, nominations for honorary degrees must be received by the September deadline of the year prior. For presentation at convocation ceremonies in 2026, the nomination deadline was September 3, 2025.

- University Professor Emeritus/Emerita
Nominations must be received by January 6, 2026.
