At its meeting on January 27, 2016, the Board of Governors received presentations from the Provost and Vice President Academic, Dr. Charlotte Yates, on Key Performance Indicators for the University of Guelph, and the budget development process and consultations underway. The Board also received an update on the Strategic Renewal process and next steps, and in addition to other items of business, approved the University’s updated Capital Plan for 2016-17 and a new policy on Carry Forwards.

The University Secretariat has released the Call for Nominations for the Strategic Renewal Advisory Committee, a committee with the mandate to offer advice on the shaping of input offered during the consultations undertaken as part of the University's strategic renewal initiative.
The first Senate meeting of the 2015-16 session was held Monday, October 26, 2015, with President Vaccarino presiding as Chair. Following a brief orientation, Senators received presentations on the kick-off and planning for Strategic Renewal activities, including an invitation to engage other members of the community in discussions on future directions to consider. As well, presentations were received from Vice-president Academic & Provost Charlotte Yates and Vice-president Research Malcolm Campbell on academic and research priorities for the upcoming year.
