On Saturday, March 13 we held the 3rd annual Philosophy Graduate Students' Association Conference. This year's theme was “Bodies in the World.” Our keynote speaker was Professor Hasana Sharp (McGill), who gave a talk entitled “‘Men have nothing less in their power than their tongues': On spoken passions.” See the speakers and conferences page.

Saturday, April 10 was the PHILOSOPHY GOES PUBLIC: SPECIAL ONE DAY EVENT in the Florence Partridge Room (384) of McLaughlin Library. For a schedule of the day's speakers, please see the speakers and conferences page.

The University of Guelph resides on the land of the Between the Lakes Treaty No. 3, the territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit. This land is part of the Dish with One Spoon, a covenant between Indigenous nations to live peaceably on the territories of the Great Lakes region. We recognize that today this gathering place is home to many First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples and acknowledging them reminds us of our collective responsibility to the land where we learn, live and work.
