The University of Guelph CWMFA's reading series was founded in 2010 by Ayelet Tsabari and Eufemia Fantetti (then second- and first-year students, respectively). You can read an early interview with the founders on Open Book Toronto.

Speakeasy features a mix of students, alumni, and other guest readers. It is curently curated and hosted by Ambika Thompson and Miguel Gamboa at Tequila Bookworm (512 Queen St. W., in Toronto) and usually occurs one Thursday evening each month throughout the academic year. Details of upcoming readings will be posted in the Upcoming Events feed on the homepage of this website and also on Facebook.
