GTA/GSA Distribution Policy

GTA/GSA Distribution Policy – School of Fine Art and Music

MFA.SART

We offer 7 GTA positions each semester (F/W) based on our guaranteed funding for seven Grad Students.

The GTA positions always remain the same. When they are posted on the Academic Staff Work Assignments website an email is sent to the MFA.SART graduate students to alert them to the postings.

Required qualifications  from posting: required to have graduate level training and working knowledge of Studio Art.

Preferred qualification from posting: Registration in the Studio Art (MFA.SART) program during the required semester.

Students indicate their preferences when applying.  Based on preferences and qualifications offers are made.

MA.AHVC

We offer GTA positions based on the number of incoming students.  Thesis based students are guaranteed 2 GTA positions and MRP students receive 1 GTA position.

GTA’s are posted on the Academic Staff Work Assignments website and an email is sent to the MA.AHVC graduate students to alert them to the postings.

Required qualifications from posting: required to have graduate level training and working knowledge of Art History.

Preferred qualification from posting: Registration in the Studio Art (MA.AVHC) program during the required semester.

Students indicate their preferences when applying.  Based on preferences and qualifications offers are made.

Distribution:

GTA/GSA positions are distributed based on courses with high enrollment.
