We are delighted to announce that two of the excellent teachers in the History department were winners of the College of Arts Teaching Awards this year. Professor Ben Bradley is one of the two winners of the Faculty Teaching Awards and Aidan Hughes is the winner of the PhD student Graduate Teaching Assistant Award.

The Perfect Atmosphere

Ten years ago, Lisa Michaels founded Bandology because she witnessed the benefit that music brought to her three kids and their peers and wanted to extend that experience to as wide a community as she could. This non-profit organization provides youth from grades one to 12 opportunities to participate in ensemble music making. Instead of focusing on private lessons, groups work together in a space to learn in an inclusive environment.

Gus Skorburg is heading to Montreal for his upcoming sabbatical research leave, where he will be a Visiting Scholar at IVADO as well as a Visiting Fellow at the Stephen A. Jarislowsky Chair in Human Nature and Technology at McGill University. Great news, Gus!
