Her Independent Research Project titled, “A Traditional Family Sitcom: An Analysis of Homonormativity in the Television Show Modern Family” analyzed multiple episodes to investigate the presentation of lifestyle and use of the family sitcom genre. Her current work continues this analysis of queerness by examining queer resistance online, specifically surrounding mainstream media and the way this content is taken up and defied in digital queer spaces.
