Tim Knowles is currently artist in residence at IBERS [Institute of Biological, Environmental and Rural Sciences] in Aberystwyth.  He has been commissioned by Timespan to produce a new work - Force-Fire  for the 2015 Highland Games along with a major work for Nuit Blanche 2015 in Toronto.  In 2013 he was commissioned by City of Sydney to produce Mass Windwalk and Windgrid, he also participated in Mildura Palimpsest Biennale, Australia.  His work is currently on show in Second Autumn at Art Stations Gallery, Poznań, Poland and was recently included in the National touring exhibition Walk On; From Richard Long to Janet Cardiff - 40 years of Art Walking and and Drawing making: Making drawing, the Drawing Room, London.

The University of Guelph resides on the land of the Between the Lakes Treaty No. 3, the territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit. This land is part of the Dish with One Spoon, a covenant between Indigenous nations to live peaceably on the territories of the Great Lakes region. We recognize that today this gathering place is home to many First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples and acknowledging them reminds us of our collective responsibility to the land where we learn, live and work.
