Details
The School of Theatre, English, and Creative Writing is pleased to present WROL (Without Rule of Law) by Michaela Jeffery. This production is the culminating work of our fourth-year Ensemble Project course, in which students form a theatre company and take on all of the major performing and production roles.
The production runs March 26-28 at 8pm.
In Michaela Jeffery’s WROL (Without Rule of Law) a group of preteens explore a mysterious hidden lair while also sharing survivalist skills for a potential coming calamity. This darkly comic work explores the lives of a group of preteen girls convinced that the world around them cannot keep them safe.
The show contains some strong language (swearing), mild violence, discussion of cults and disappearances, themes of societal collapse, dark humour, allusions to parental abuse/unsafe family dynamics, and the use of theatrical lighting and sound.
The production is being presented in the black box theatre in the Arts Research Centre, which is housed in the MacKinnon building. Flat access seating is available. The show runs approximately 90 minutes without an intermission.
Tickets are available on the production’s Eventbrite page.
