Where are they Wednesday: Stephanie Blunt

Stephanie Blunt
Bachelor of Arts, Studio Art (2014)
Prosthetics & Orthotics Technician, Author, Vaughan, ON.

Stephanie completed her BA Honours degree from the University of Guelph in Studio Art. She took her degree toward a different passion and began studying at George Brown College and graduated from their Prosthetics and Orthotics Technical Program. With her background in the Arts and prosthetics/orthotics, Stephanie recently combined her passions and wrote her first children’s book “Beau and His New AFO: A Children’s Guide to Ankle Foot Orthoses.” The book is illustrated by Amelia Levick and Katrina Whitmell, who are fellow graduates of George Brown’s Prosthetic and Orthotic Technical Program with Stephanie. They promote the story’s importance as being the “first children’s resource of its kind,” and “encourages children to take pride in and care of their AFO.”
