Steve Sladkowski, guitarist for Canadian band PUP, graduated from the College of Arts with a degree in Music in 2010. Steve obtained several roles in the music industry after university, working as an instructor for Folkway Music, the Assistant to the Artistic Director for the Guelph Jazz Festival, and freelance writer. Currently, Steve tours and performs full-time in the Toronto-based rock band PUP (Pathetic Use of Potential), originally named Topanga. They have toured with bands such as Hollerado and the Zolas, and performed in music festivals like Shaky Knees, Boston Calling, WayHome, Lollapalooza and Osheaga. PUP’s music has been nominated for Juno Awards, the Polaris Music Prize and the CBC Bucky Awards, among others. With over 111,000 followers on Instagram and 41.7 million streams on Spotify in 79 different countries, PUP’s popularity is growing rapidly all over the world. Have you ever wanted to be a rock star?
