On May 20th, the University of Guelph hosted their annual Spring Academic Open House (SAOH). This year, due to concerns surrounding the health and safety of our, staff, faculty, and future Gryphons, the SAOH was hosted virtually. Thank you to all of our presenters, editors, moderators, faculty, and staff for their help making this event possible! If you were unable to attend, we have developed a set of video information sessions and video testimonials. The videos can be either found below or can be found as a playlist by following this link to the YouTube playlist.

Program Counsellors: Greg and April

Got any questions about SoCS and its degree programs? Ask Greg and April! Greg and April are the Bachelor of Computing (B.Comp) program counsellors. Both of these counsellors are skilled and knowledgeable about our program, and have created short presentations for potential future Guelph Gryphons to enjoy. If you have any further questions, both can be contacted through email at cscouns@uoguelph.ca.

Student and Faculty Testimonials

Current students and alumni have developed testimonial videos, highlighting for which reasons they chose Guelph, as well as their experiences while here in SoCS. Dr Andrew Hamilton Wright has also provided a video related to what it is like being a University student. All of these videos can be found below:

A presentation was also presented during the Spring Academic Open House, narrated by Cathie Hosker, Administrative Officer, on behalf of the Director of SoCS, Dr. Minglun Gong. This presentation highlights the strong staff and faculty presence within SoCS, our exemplary standing within research, and our increasing attractiveness to prospective students. The full presentation, including recorded audio, is available in PowerPoint form as an attachment to this post, and all of the content from the event can be found on our Spring Academic Open House webpage.
