Engineering Professor Dr. John R. Donald Receives Designation of Fellow

University of Guelph Associate Professor Dr. John R. Donald received the designation of Fellow from the Canadian Engineering Education Association (CEEA-ACEG) in June of 2020.  This award honours “individuals who have demonstrated noteworthy service to engineering education, engineering leadership, or engineering design education through their work with CEEA-ACEG”. John is one of the inaugural 21 engineering education professionals from across Canada selected for this award.

PEO Announces Recipient of 2019 G. Gordon M. Sterling Engineering Intern Award

Kaela Shea, EIT, has been named this year’s recipient of the G. Gordon M. Sterling Engineering Intern Award. Currently a PhD candidate at the University of Toronto’s Institute of Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering, Shea is researching rehabilitation and assistive devices solutions to help overcome communication and physical challenges faced by children with disabilities. Her work includes the development of an innovative brain-computer interface that incorporates natural language processing, bringing the user context-relevant messages for face-to-face communication.
